Toxic Work Environments Motivating Change

I started my current job in 2017 preparing records and creating schedules for docs. It started as a broken system that produced chaotic days for the techs and docs. After building a team to improve the process wait times have been cut down docs now get lunch and the overall climate of the workplace has vastly improved.

Everything was going well until we started to lose members of the team and others came to replace them and now the workplace has evolved to a completely toxic machine. It has become so toxic that top performers are being pushed into a corner where the only escape is to leave the organization. I am to the point where that would be best for me and am working on making a transition. Over the past year I’ve been working on my Private Pilots License. It’s been a long process, pretty expensive but nothing compares to the feeling of being up in the air behind the flight controls. It has become a place of peace for me to fly and I can’t wait to finish my license soon, in November soon. I just scored over a 90 on my written exam and now all I have left is to take my checkride and then I’ll be ready to make the transition out of my organization finally and be able to put my toxic workplace behind me.
